About The Table
The Table began with a heartfelt aim: to offer people a space to pause, connect, and start healing. A table, to me, is more than furniture : it’s where we gather to eat, laugh, cry, share stories, and rest. (And promise, I’m not selling dining sets.)
I’m Jennifer, a MBACP-registered therapist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. My journey began in British Columbia, Canada, where I supported adults and couples as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I later moved to Dubai, UAE, working as a Wellness Facilitator before putting down roots here in the UK.
Counselling has always felt second nature to me, for as long as I can remember. More than a profession it is a calling and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people through life’s complexities.
Outside the therapy room, you’ll likely find me practising embroidery, looking for a sweet treat, or enjoying time with my family.

My Approach
At The Table, I strive to create a safe, open space where you can explore your emotions, gain insight, and chart a path forward. Conversation will be our main tool for healing and growth. Through empathetic listening and meaningful dialogue, I aim to empower you to navigate challenges and foster lasting change.
My work is person-centred and trauma-informed. I often draw on:
-
Internal Family Systems
-
Polyvagal Theory
-
Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy
-
Compassion-focused approaches
-
Mindfulness practices
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. I keep my toolkit current so we can tailor our work to what resonates with you. When helpful, we’ll tap into creative tools: whether through art, music, movement, books, and something else that speaks to you. My clients have experienced breakthroughs through writing letters, producing music, or crafting digital art.
I am interested in getting to know you and your world: I find we can do our best work together when you permit yourself to show up in the most authentic way.
I also believe we are spiritual beings, and that is always a part of my clients that I welcome. For those who prefer it, I’m happy to offer Christian-based counselling.
